This website is dedicated to photography and China, which are both my passions and my business focus. Here you can find inspiration, discover new ways to interpret these changing times in Asia as well as worldwide, and enjoy photographs challenging ordinary visual tradition. Even if the majority of posts is related to the visual, you may sporadically find some articles on Chinese politics, media and environment. I will share with you my knowledge and maybe a little bit of wisdom.
My name is Michela Bonato (小米), I am a sinologist and Dr. Phil. in Human Geography. This platform opened in April 2012 and since then, I have embarked in very different experiences that have also influenced the content and style of this space. My deep connection with nature emerges here and there, but it is mostly China and travels that predominate as subjects of this website. If you love nature, Asia, or simply travelling with your mind to “other places”, you will certainly feel at home here. If you simply landed here out of curiosity, I welcome you to explore the versatility of this website still considering photography as the file rouge of this virtual experience.
